"I can't be hypnotized..."

Okay.

I mean... if that's how you want it, then okay.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but really you mean won't, not can't.

Here's the thing, if you wake from sleep in the morning and fall asleep again at night, then two times a day you're already in the perfect zone!

I get it... that special place between waking and sleeping isn't something you might typically spend a lot of time in on purpose, but really, that's exactly the state you want.

Let's say you're going for drive, cruising along at 10 and you decide to speed up to 50. You're not going to go from 10 to 50 without going 20, 25, 30 at some point, right? You might only spend a second at each of those speeds, but you'd still be going that speed at some point. Or maybe, you even hang out at 25 for a while, on purpose, just 'cause. That's allowed too.

That's what hypnosis is. Relaxing your brain for a bit and hanging out in the space between waking and sleeping. Actually, keeping you not too sleepy and not too awake is exactly the job of your hypnotherapist. They tell you stories and give you some structure to help you stay in that sweet spot. You drive, they just read the map for you.

So, why the watch? Eye fatigue. No seriously, you know how when your eyes get tired your whole body feels tired? A swinging watch, a candle flame, car headlights as they zoom past you while nightdriving, even that famous spinning spiral... all of these methods make your brain slow down and zone out a little.

The loveliest way though, if I do say so myself, is progressive relaxation with guided imagery. Slowly and progressively relaxing your body, dissolving any stress or tension, and just letting your body breathe deeply is such a treat in our hectic lives! As you body relaxes, the imagery keeps your brain focused and entertained. This is exactly that spa moment for your body and your mind.

What is so special about that spa state of mind?

When your body and your brain are safe and happy, you can use visual images and direct suggestions to create the powerful changes you want. Overwrite limiting beliefs, erase habits that no longer serve you, and focus your body's energy on healing and wellbeing.
