Hit a plateau? Boil some water!

No really ! Let the magic inspire you !

This isn't about some magical tea. Although, it IS about magic... and transformation.

So you're in science class (safety goggles, please!), trusty Bunsen burner is heating up an innocent beaker of water, and you get the tedious job of monitoring the temperature.

*yawn*

Flame is on.

Heat energy goes into the water.

Temperature goes up.

*trust me, this gets better*

Pretty predictable stuff actually... until...

As the water approaches the boiling point, the temperature starts to level off. It plateaus. Still have energy going into the water at the same rate, but the temperature isn't going up.

So if the energy is still going in, but the temperature isn't going up, where is that energy going? It looks like nothing is happening... Magic is happening, baby !!

Okay, so scientists don't call it magic, but they do call it something cool... the latent heat of transition. Because even though we can't see it, can't measure it with our thermometer, that water is preparing to transition into something new. For water, it's a whole phase change from a liquid to a gas.

What kind of magic is happening in your plateau? You're doing the right things, eating right, meditating, working out, but you can't see the change you're looking for. Sometimes our bodies, our minds, our lives need to transition into something new, and it uses all that unseen energy to bust through and TRANSFORM.

Every chrysalis looks like the caterpillar gave up and took a nap... until that magic gets released into the world.

Embrace your plateaus as the sign that transition is happening and transformation is right around the corner. See them as a sign that something hidden and amazing is happening on a fundamental and powerful level within you!

Yes, I really think like this. Hope this post didn't sound too crazy.

I am SO passionate about change and transition.

I love my job *sigh*
